Redemption’s Heritage

On Father’s Day of 2000, my husband, Dale, and I planted New Life Christian Fellowship in Tooele, Utah which is just west of Salt Lake City. It was a non-denominational sister church for New Life Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, FL.  We pastored there for 8 1/2 years and that was 10 years ago but God is still using the church mightily. Here is a link: www.nlot.org.

During that time, I had an encounter with a young woman who came to me for a counseling session on the recommendation of one of our church members. She had been severely abused by her “Christian” husband. She was separated from him at that time. They had two little boys and, she found out after she left him, another child on the way. She had been counseled by her pastor, her father, and her brother to go home and submit to her husband.

I told her that her husband was supposed to love her as Christ loved the church. I asked her if she thought Christ would abuse His church. I heard myself say to her that she should submit to Christ in her husband, not to the devil in her husband. This put me on a burning quest to research exactly how Christ loved the church and how this could translate into a husband loving his wife.

I had finished my course work for my doctorate degree in theology and decided this would be the topic of my dissertation. I haven’t completed the dissertation, but, God spoke to me to write this novel. My sixteen-year-old son, out of the blue, confirmed it, my best friend, Sandra Gilbson, encouraged me, the Lord dropped the first chapter intact into my spirit, and Redemption’s Heritage became a reality.

It begins with young Samuel Trembal in a very compromising and dangerous situation and continues with him on a life-long search to love his wife, Jenny, as Christ loved the church. That is the message of this book. I tried to make sure the message of the book did not interfere with the story of the book. I believe I succeeded.

If you have a ministry that could benefit from this book, please let me know because we are making plans now to have the eBook printed in paperback. While the majority of people don’t read paper books, in a conference or counseling session, it is probably better to have a physical book that someone can put their hands on and take home.

If you have any comments or questions I would love to hear from you.

Be blessed!
